Retur Lofoten AS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By booking rentals with Retur Lofoten AS, you are agreeing to the following terms:
Store Hours and Equipment Pick Up
- All rental gear must be picked up and returned during regular opening hours. Please check our website for hours, which may change on short notice.
You must contact us for an alternative arrangement. - A signed rental contract and a copy of ID are required for each guest before pick-up.
- A safety deposit of 1500,- to 3000,- NOK is required for some equipment unless otherwise stated.
Prices and Payments
- All prices are in Norwegian Krones (NOK) and cover equipment rental only.
- Equipment must be collected and returned to Skandinavisk Høyfjellutstyr, Håkon Kyllingmarks Gate 3B, Svolvær 8300, unless delivery/collection is arranged at an additional cost.
- Rental fees are payable in advance upon reservation and are subject to cancellation fees.
Liability and Damaged or Lost Equipment
- For group bookings we require one individual in the group to hold responsibility over the rest of the members in case of loss, theft or damage of the equipment in the case we cannot identify the user of the item in question.
- Renters are liable for loss, theft, or damage and must cover repair or replacement costs, we do not offer insurance.
- Potential charges will be assessed on-site and are additional to rental costs.
- The rental provider assumes no liability for any injuries or damages arising from equipment use.
- Renters are encouraged to obtain suitable insurance.
Cancellations and Changes
Cancellation fees are as follows:
- 100% refund for cancellations within 1 hour of booking or more than 60 days prior.
- 50% refund for cancellations 14 to 60 days prior.
- No for cancellations less than 14 days prior.
Terms of Payment and Services
- The rental period applies for the dates stipulated in the booking.
- Full payment of the rental costs is required upon booking. We provide you with an opportunity to pay online using a Visa or MasterCard. We use secure PayEx transactions. If the terms of payment are not followed as outlined, the reservation is deemed cancelled within 2 days.
- For the return of rentals before the day indicated on booking, you will not receive a refund of the rental costs.
- If you wish to return rentals later than you indicated on the reservation you need to contact us in advance and check if the equipment is available. If we confirm the date change you need to pay the additional rental fees latest when you return the rentals.
- Retur Lofoten AS cannot guarantee you will be able to extend the rental period, but we do our best to have equipment available in the rental centre and in most of the cases, it is no problem. Please contact us if in doubt and we can provide you with information about current reservations.
- Retur Lofoten AS always aims to provide you with the ideal sports equipment and clothes so you can always change clothing size or sports equipment when you arrive, as long as we have these available. Retur Lofoten AS cannot guarantee the availability of equipment in a different size than booked.
- The rental and all use of equipment is at the client’s own risk, and the client bears full responsibility for any loss or damage which arises during the rental period. The client is also responsible for any other person who he/she allows to use the equipment. Retur Lofoten AS assumes no financial responsibility for loss or injury to people, property, business affairs or the like which may arise through the use of the rented equipment.
- Any problems with the equipment should be immediately reported to Retur Lofoten AS by e-mail or phone.
- For some of the equipment a deposit is required (depending on equipment between 1500 and 3000 NOK per piece). Check your booking confirmation for details. If equipment is returned in the same condition as it was rented out, the deposit will be returned in full on the spot (if paid cash) or within a few business days (if paid via credit card), this time depends on your bank and it may take longer before the reservation is deleted from your card.
